Clarissa obtained her undergraduate degree in 2009 from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal and went on to attain her graduate degree in 2011 from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. She is a member of the world’s largest anti-fraud organization, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and a member of the Institute of Directors in South Africa.
Clarissa currently serves as a Director on the Board of one of the most leading ICT service providers on the African Continent. She also serves as a Senior Associate of LHL Attorneys as one of the lead attorneys in Whistleblowing Law, Sexual Harassment in the Workplace, and Civil and Commercial Litigation. During her University career, Maricia acted as the Wits Debating Union’s Deputy Chief Adjudicator and represented the University at the South African National Debating Championships.
Maricia also served as President of the Wits Inala Forum, a food sovereignty student society which championed student’s food rights. This position saw her speak before the South African Human Rights Council, the National Colloquium on Food Security and the Cape Town Water Tribunal. Maricia also served as student councillor at the Wits Law Clinic in the Family Law department in 2019. She also assisted in managing the Wits Food Programme.

Zandile completed her BA International Relations degree at the University of Pretoria in 2019. She majored in International Relations and Political Science. Zandile’s qualification enabled her to gain a deeper and more meaningful understanding of Global issues such as economics, culture, education and the impact that these areas have on different societies throughout the world. Zandile is an Alumna of the 2019 Asia World Model United Nations Conference, where youth leaders from all over the world gather to strengthen their analytical reasoning skills, public speaking skills and to network with others from across the Globe. In 2019, Zandile was the recipient of the award of “Honourable Mention” from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation.
Zandile is a passionate advocate of human rights and humanitarian causes. She is committed to giving back to the community and has volunteered for the Lawtons Africa Literacy Programme, where she taught basic computer literacy skills to junior staff. She also worked for the Pro Bono department at Lawtons where she was awarded recognition for her work with Barefoot College, a social work and research centre, whose mission is to improve the lives of people across the world by providing areas of extreme rural poverty with access to basic needs, like safe drinking water, clean light, basic education and dignified livelihoods.
